President Ruud Named to AASCU Board of Directors
(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, Jan. 6 -- The University of Northern Iowa issued the following news release: University of Northern Iowa President Bill Ruud has been named to the 2014 Board of Directors for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU). The announcement came during the association's annual meeting in October.
President Ruud will be one of 15 presidents from around the country serving as a director for AASCU, a Washington-based higher education association of more than 400 public colleges, universities and systems. AASCU members share a learning- and teaching-centered culture, a historic commitment to underserved student populations and a dedication to research and creativity that advances their regions' economic progress and cultural development.
