Encore Networks Introduces Hardened 4G Wireless Router [Gulf Oil & Gas (Egypt)]

(Gulf Oil & Gas (Egypt) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Encore Networks, a leader in M2M solutions for fixed and wireless communications, announced that the 4G EN-4000™ broadband router is now available for extreme temperature hardened operations found in industrial and outdoor environments with an operating ambient temperature range of -40? C to +85? C. With no fans or moving parts, the all metal enclosure resists dust, moisture, and electromagnetic interference (EMI), increasing overall reliability and operations in the harshest conditions.

"By listening to our customers and responding to their network requirements, Encore has been building and deploying routers into the most extreme environments for over a decade," stated Peter Madsen, President and CEO of Encore Networks. "The rugged EN-4000 reinforces our commitment, builds upon our expertise of protecting our customer's legacy assets and provides a number of options for advanced network infrastructure." The rugged EN-4000™ base configuration contains either one or two embedded cellular modules, one high speed 10/100 Mbs Ethernet WAN port and four 10/1000 Mbs Ethernet LAN switching ports, with redundant AC and DC power. Field upgradeable expansion slots for a wide range of interface modules, allows the user to change their router configuration without having to remove the router from the field. The EN-4000™ adapts to specific network requirements by adding additional Gig Ethernet WAN ports, Ethernet LAN switching ports, 4G LTE, HSPA+, and 3G multi-carrier cellular modules, serial data ports, T-1/Fractional T1 with CSU interfaces, fiber optic port, 2/4 wire analog port, and FXO and FXS voice ports with embedded SIP ATA. The EN-4000™ router supports multiple ports and high-speed network connections for any service, any port, any time.

Is Your Network Ready for the Internet of Everything?

The telephone industry is undergoing a dramatic transformation that began with the introduction of IP-based data networks in the early 1990s and then with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) in the late 1990s, and it now includes all forms ofvoice, video, and messaging communications.

Building a Secure and Scalable Multimedia IP Exchange

As fixed and mobile operators increasingly move to IP-based networks, the complexity required to interconnect these networks grows dramatically. How Carriers Can Optimize for LTE Roaming

Connectivity between mobile network operators (MNO) in 4G LTE is much more complex than it was in legacy networks. This complexity is primarily due to the change in focus. LTE is not a voice-focused roaming environment, but rather a datacentric environment.
