MTS may stop providing services in Crimea. [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports]
(IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The MTS Ukraine telecommunications company (Kyiv) is not ruling out the possibility of stopping provision of services in the unrecognized Republic of Crimea. According to the company, it is having difficulties with maintaining and operating its network on the territory of Crimea because it is currently impossible to conduct settlements with its partners, suppliers, and subscribers in the hryvnia national currency on this territory. Currently, the company is making every effort to preserve its ability to provide high-quality communications services in Crimea.
Earlier, MTS Ukraine said that it fears that Russian telecommunications operators will displace Ukrainian telecommunications operators in Crimea.
