GENBAND Partners Gain All-Access Pass to Company Resources with Partner Advantage Portal

May 22, 2014

What good would your smartphone be without the cell service behind it? Is your laptop as useful if there’s no way to access the Internet? What about all of your enterprise needs? Will your applications run without the right network behind them? Partners are critical to the success of a company, especially in today’s era of interconnected devices, software, applications, platforms, networks and services. Data is transmitted in real time between all of these different endpoints, and in order to maximize the experience for end users, partnerships enable companies to collaborate, innovate and deliver.

GENBAND today introduced its new Partner Advantage Portal, designed to be a resource for the company’s partners to find real time, updated information on GENBAND’s products and solutions.

The portal offers information to more than 75 companies worldwide, such as sales resources, videos, webinars, marketing materials, upcoming news and events, enhanced training features, GENBAND merchandise store, mobile app, deal registration site, co-op fund management tools and more.

“We wanted to go beyond the normal partner portal so we designed the new GENBAND Partner Advantage Portal to be an intuitive, user friendly resource that provides our partners with the comprehensive service and support necessary to ensure success and growth,” Paula Sullivan, director of Channel Marketing at GENBAND, explained in a blog post.

Other benefits of the portal include:

  • Sales training that leverages GENBAND differentiators across the sales cycle
  • Technical training to support implementing and managing GENBAND products and solutions
  • Special tiered discounts based on partner level that enable GENBAND partners to improve margins, reduce sales cycles and increase overall profitability
  • Co-op marketing funds for co-branded advertising campaigns, events and other joint marketing plans
  • Incentive campaigns and “spiff” programs
  • Special training events that help educate, motivate and inspire sales and service teams to bring GENBAND solutions to customers

“Our channel partners are a vital component of our growth strategy and these enhancements to our Partner Advantage Program are designed to provide them with the critical tools and differentiated solutions they need to succeed in today’s hyper-competitive enterprise Unified Communications environment,” said Jon Jorgl, president of Enterprise Solutions for GENBAND, in a statement. “With Partner Advantage, resellers and service partners can more easily and efficiently leverage our world-class solutions along with the unmatched level of service and support that GENBAND provides.”

GENBAND’s partners are excited about the portal:

  • John Norton, SVP of Marketing and Solutions Enablement, Arrow S3, said, “GENBAND stands out among our more than 150 partners as being invested in our success – bringing to market the latest cloud and WebRTC technologies that will support our future growth. GENBAND’s NUViA platform is being leveraged as the foundation of our UC-as-a-Service offering. We are layering our own software development on top of NUViA to bring our ucCLOUD offering to market called SYNAPS3 ucCLOUD. We are also beginning to leverage GENBAND’s SPiDR WebRTC Gateway to bring these new web-enabled applications to our enterprise customers.”
  • Steven Bernard, VP of Westcon UCC Solutions, said, “Westcon is excited to be a key member of GENBAND’s partner community. We recently conducted a webinar during which we introduced GENBAND’s EXPERiUS Application Server and SMART OFFICE UC solutions to a number of our resellers and the feedback has been extremely positive.  Many of our resellers are looking for viable options to support their Nortel heritage customers and GENBAND’s comprehensive portfolio offers ideal solutions to help these enterprises protect and enhance their investments.”
  • Mike McAndrew, CEO of Black Box Network Services, said, “Leveraging GENBAND’s enhanced partner support and solutions, we recently transformed the network of one of our large university clients from traditional TDM to all-IP unified communications. We have tackled these types of opportunities in a very collaborative way with GENBAND, and are replicating that across our customer base. Together, GENBAND and BlackBox are delivering market-leading solutions and capabilities to the client.”
