GENBAND to Show Comprehensive Suite of Offerings in Africa

November 10, 2014

Africa is a country ripe for investing in the future of communications technology, and many have noticed.  Recent research predicts that by 2020, just about every second person in Africa will have a mobile subscription. The exact number is 49 percent, and makes it the fastest growing region in terms of mobile connectivity.  Other companies like Huawei, IBM, Microsoft have already invested in the region too and are expecting profits.

This week, major players interested in the ripe market are gathering at AfricaCom in Cape Town, South Africa.

GENBAND is participating and will be at stand F24 offering a closer look at its comprehensive suite of solutions service providers can leverage to improve their offerings and expand their reach.

“As Africa continues to transform to a digital economy, communications service providers are increasingly looking to GENBAND and its solutions to support the strong demand they are experiencing for innovative technology solutions,” said Brad Bush, Chief Marketing Officer for GENBAND.

Of key importance to the growing Real Time Communications space, GENBAND will showcase Kandy, its software development platform designed to make it possible to easily embed real time communications like voice, video, chat, and more into mobile and web applications.

Also related to this technology, the company offers a WebRTC Gateway solution for service providers called SPiDR that makes it possible to have services like voice, video, presence, call history, and more embedded natively in Web applications.

The company’s QUANTiX wireless access gateway and white label UC offering, NUViA, will also be on display at the event.
