Tango Networks Teams With Unify On UC and PBX Solution

March 16, 2015

Tango Networks has long been one of those firms that sets itself apart in the rather crowded and growing quickly Unified Communications field. Late last week, the firm announced it had been certified by Unify for its mobile unified communications solution on the OpenSacpe Voice platform. By being offered on the OpenScape platform, Unify customers can expand the number of phones the solution is offered on.

Currently there are just a handful of phones that have the ability to interact with the OpenScape Voice Platform. Tango Networks will bring the ability to extend the network’s reach to feature phones. Unify isn’t the only company in this particular deal that is getting a big benefit from the partnership. Thanks to the team-up, Tango will be able to its ever growing list of firms that use its PBX and UC platforms for mobile.

The benefits from this platform are numerous with the top two being that workers are able to get themselves away from their desks. The companies benefit from this kind of solution because the firms are able to get rid of the cost of desk phones. Thanks to the integration of the Tango Networks technology, Unify customers are able to receive and make corporate calls on their mobile phones. This allows those users to take advantage of company calling plans as well as conferencing and three digit extension dialing.

“The versatility and mobile capabilities that Tango Networks offers to Unify customers will enable more enterprises to truly mobilize their network,” Derrick Richburg, Director of Solution Management with Unify said in a recent statement about the partnership. “The Tango solution perfectly aligns with Unify’s vision of the new way to work and the future of the mobile enterprise.”

Perhaps the coolest feature is that these users will have a single unified phone mailbox for the phone that is at their desk, as well as their mobile phones. This feature might be a bit underrated when it comes to the UC market. By allowing something like this, it’s almost impossible for users to miss a phone call.
