May 15, 2015

Nancy Ridge, vice president of master agency Telecom Brokers, and president and co-founder of the non-profit Women in the Channel, this week took on get another title – finalist of the 2015 American Business Awards.

Ridge is being recognized for her leadership in supporting women in the channel within the telecommunications industry, explains Nicole Hayward, vice president of marketing for OnSIP and a member of the WiC board, which nominated Ridge for the award.

“So many fascinating and inspiring stories of success were submitted to the ABAs this year,” said Stevie Awards president and founder Michael Gallagher.  “We congratulate all of our 2015 Finalists on their achievements.”

Winners of the awards will be announced and trophies will be presented June 22 at an ABA banquet in Chicago.

“It’s amazing to think we have already done nine of these,” Ridge said at the time. “We’re very excited about this particular event as we continue to attract new women. We are experiencing the highest pre-registration numbers so far and I believe it is due to the excellent programming and speakers like Dina Moskowitz.”

One key theme of the event was how IT and telecom are merging, and how it impacts the channel.

“We believe that the cloud’s importance is bringing these two channels together, and it’s really moving fast so we need to get serious about how we’re going to connect with the IT channel and how they can connect with us on the telecom side,” Ridge said at the time.
