Duman of eZuce Predicts What's Next for UC

December 18, 2015

Incorporated in 2010, eZuce outfits cloud and voice service providers with a complete unified communications software suite that is highly scalable and very cost effective. RealTimeCommunications recently interview Osman Duman, EVP and COO of eZuce, to learn more about the company and what it sees as some of the most important trends and recent developments on the communications front. The company will participate in ITEXPO Jan. 25-28 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

How has the cloud impacted your business?

Ezuce offers a video collaboration as a service offering. Not only our implementation but also how we price it is aligned with the cloud computing paradigm. We are passing the savings from the pooling effect of our cloud offering back to our customers through a utility based pricing model.

How is communications technology impacting business?

Technology is helping businesses integrate information and communications capabilities to provide their talent with the best business insight and promptness within well-defined business processes to maximize market penetration, customer satisfaction and – in turn – profits.

What do you say to industry observers who say UC is dead?

Unified communication is here to stay for a long time, as long as the need for communications anywhere, anytime, any device remains valid. The solution ingredients may change over time though. We see video collaboration, document share, persistent communications coming into the wider space of unified communications & collaboration. Perhaps the name would change one day to collaboration. We would, however, be talking about essentially the same thing.

How are collaboration software/services helping workers today?

Whether working from home, the office, or on the road, your enterprise can communicate and share information quickly with seamless collaboration services enabling your remote and mobile workforces to stay connected and informed from any device. With access to real-time communication, companies are noticing that their teams are more effective, productive, and engaged, which results in speedier decisions and a better understanding of what is expected from each team member when contributing to a project.

Is WebRTC living up to the hype?

WebRTC is helping accelerate the reach of new innovative applications to masses without the – sometimes cumbersome – use of clients. They are short of offering the feature richness of clients for particular applications, but help user adoption in a great way.
