The available technology for today’s workforce promotes constant accessibility. That means companies need to provide the software and hardware so that employees can come together anytime, anywhere and on any device. The new Polycom RealPresence Clariti solution is a collaboration infrastructure software that has been designed to promote the collaborative culture of today’s business environment.
RealPresence Clariti is a cloud-ready collaboration infrastructure software with HD voice, video, content and web collaboration. It delivers video conferencing on any device and a customizable workspace. This includes integration with Microsoft and Lync users, as well as other UC partners.
RealPresence Clariti uses IaaS to deliver the first collaboration infrastructure software solution offering hybrid cloud bursting. What this does for businesses is, give them the flexibility and scalability they need with a seamless connection whenever there are surges in the number of people that use video collaboration.
The platform automatically transitions into the secure Polycom cloud resources if and when network capacity can’t handle the collaboration needs. This transition is made without interrupting any collaboration that is taking place.
“The RealPresence Clariti solution is a simple, easy-to-use collaboration software that provides cloud economics, cloud deployment options, and cloud hybrid capabilities to Polycom’s powerful infrastructure suite,” said Ashan Willy, Senior Vice President, Product Management & Worldwide Systems Engineering, Polycom.
The solution also gives partners, ISVs, customers and developers the ability to create applications geared for their collaboration needs into their workflows with the new Polycom Sandbox, a virtual lab that provides Polycom’s rich set of APIs and SDKs. The company is providing a full set of support tools with a community-based resource to simplify the open exchange of information for creating innovative application development that can be integrated into the workflow of businesses.
According to the company, the platform has been designed for easy purchase, implementation and deployment. The licenses gives users access to Polycom’s solutions with a pricing model that is based on the number of concurrent users.
The Polycom RealPresence Clariti collaboration infrastructure software will be available in the first quarter of 2016, followed by the Cloud Burst Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) in the second quarter 2016 for the North American market, with global availability at a later date. Polycom Sandbox is slated to be released in the first half of 2016.
