GENBAND, a real-time communications (RTC) software developer, recently announced that it will showcase a number of new products at an industry trade show.
At Enterprise Connect, it will display Kandy Wrappers, pre-packaged RTC applications, and Smart Office unified communications (UC) clients that are meant to easily distribute to desktop and mobile devices within an enterprise. The applications represent the latest in what GENBAND has to offer its clients. Its large portfolio of existing RTC applications work directly with its newest products in ways that can initiate and extend any client’s communications network.
Patrick Joggerst, the executive vice president of global sales and marketing at GENBAND, commented that his company’s primary goal is to offer affordable software that brings together the cloud, the Internet, and the proliferation of RTC.
“We’re illustrating to the market how we can dramatically reduce the cost and complexity of delivering UC applications to enterprise employees and their customers,” Joggerst said. “We believe enterprises are extremely overdue for more substantive benefits from the intersection of the cloud, the Web, and real time communications.”
This past autumn, GENBAND celebrated its one year anniversary of the Kandy platform-as-a-service. That platform for constructing and hosting RTC applications now has more than 15 million users. Its associated website, Kandy.io, also has more than 1,500 accounts and 50 business partners. Kandy has been used in a number of industries. In recognition of that anniversary announcement, TMC also noted that Kandy was assisting Skywriter MD to improve patient care by better connecting physicians with electronic health records.
The base Kandy platform is also expected to make an appearance at the coming trade show. Kandy Wrappers will sit alongside that offering with a number of pre-packaged apps such as a click-to-call concierge and visual auto attendant – all to reduce the time it takes clients to launch new services. Smart Office Clients will try to achieve the same goals of ease of use and cost savings by bringing UC clients to the desktop and to mobile devices. The Smart Office gives developers a way to modify their UC clients across many operating systems and devices while leaving their users with a seamless experience of voice and video. Everything works in the Web browser or native mobile apps, so it becomes easy to make connections with others.
GENBAND will also take this opportunity to show what its Nuvia Cloud UC, various WebRTC applications, and SIP trunking services can offer customers. All the above product center around communication, but they address customers in different ways. The trade show should give GENBAND the opportunity to explain the differences between each product and show prospective users how they can chain each product and service to work with one another.
