GENBAND Wins Stevie Award for Customer Service

March 14, 2016

Real-time communications solutions provider GENBAND has announced that it won a Gold Stevie Award in the Customer Service Department of the Year  - Telecommunications category.

The company, best known for its KANDY real-time communications software development platform, is justifiably proud of the award.

"Customer Service excellence is key to our strategy, and we've aligned our people and processes to continuously innovate and deliver," Steven Bruny, GENBAND's executive vice president of solutions delivery and support, said. "It's an honor to win this award and I want to congratulate all of the participants as well as extend my appreciation to our team for its exceptional work."

The company faced stiff competition from 2,100 companies nominated from almost every industry. The nominees in the Sales & Customer Service category were judged by 115 professionals around the world, with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in every category.

"Entries to the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service continue to grow every year, further validating the essential roles that business development, customer service, and sales play in business success," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.  "The widespread support of this program made the 2016 competition that much more intense among finalists. The judges were deeply impressed by the winner's accomplishments and we congratulate all of the winners on their commitment to excellence and innovation.”

While the name might not be as recognizable to ordinary people as the Grammys, Emmys or Academy Awards, these kinds of awards have bearing on purchasing decisions. In the growing field of real-time communication, reputation still counts a lot when companies are deciding which vendors to go with.

Because customer service and support is as important for many businesses as the actual product is, the award might garner more potential customers for GENBAND.

GENBAND has also been recognized by CNBC part of its “2015 Disruptor 50” list.
