NetNumber Sponsoring Perspectives16, Will Show TITAN

April 13, 2016

Boston-based NetNumber offers signaling control solutions that make it possible for carriers to quickly implement new services across multiple generations of networks – not only simplifying the core network, but also reducing operating costs.

The company’s TITAN Centralized Signaling and Routing Control (CSRC) solution for the global communications industry includes NFV solutions that help tie together legacy and next-gen network services while helping carriers address the signaling loads being brought on by new devices and services on the network.

NetNumber partners with GENBAND to integrate key applications in TITAN, such as the STP or HLR, into GENBAND’s platform to deliver a next-generation services architecture for carriers.

Recently the companies announced the integration of NetNumber STP into the GENBAND platform for Marcatel Mexico to support the increasing demand for interconnect traffic.  Another exciting joint win this year included Cellact, which is integrating NetNumber’s HLR into GENBAND’s platform.

“It has been exciting to see how well our joint solutions have been received by communication service providers. We look forward to engaging with current and potential customers at this year’s Perspectives16 summit, and discussing how we can help address the most critical challenges facing the industry together with GENBAND,” said Steve Legge, Vice President of Corporate Development for NetNumber.

The company is sponsoring GENBAND’s upcoming Perspectives16 Annual Customer and Partner Summit happening May 1-5 and will also be exhibiting TITAN.

I recently caught up with Steve Legge, VP of Corporate Development at NetNumber to hear more about their participation in the event.

“GENBAND Perspectives is a great forum for engaging with our partner, and for hearing the top-of-mind concerns from our customers and potential customers,” Legge said. When asked what industry topic would be trending at the event, Legge noted security is a key topic as well as service agility for carriers and how it can be achieved by working with vendors like NetNumber and GENBAND.

Security is critical for the signaling network Legge said. Especially as new telecom operators are requiring mobile roaming interconnection and using femtocells with direct signaling access.  NetNumber’s response: a comprehensive multi-protocol signaling firewall on the TITAN platform.
