RTC Shaping Our Future: GENBAND CEO & Kandy Head to Canadian Telecom Summit

May 31, 2016

Our communications future is changing at rapid pace. New technologies are being introduced at lightning fast speeds and what was once thought to be ‘the future of communications’ typically makes way for new and more exciting developments faster than it can even keep up.

That’s part of the focus of the upcoming Canadian Telecom Summit happening in Toronto next week. The Summits theme: “Transforming Our Digital World: the Journey to Universal Connectivity.”

It goes without saying the GENBAND and its kandy.io embedded real time communications offering would be present at this event.

The company provides real-time communications software solutions for service providers, enterprises, independent software vendors, systems integrators and developers in over 80 countries.

Also at the event will be CEO David Walsh who will deliver a keynote on June 7 at 8:30 a.m. The keynote will discuss the “The Exchange of Everything” vision first presented during GENBAND’s Perspectives partner event earlier this month.

This idea per Walsh is that next generation RTC will transform the way in which we engage each other and our technology tools to improve the way we live and work.

“I’m convinced that our industry is the best positioned to take advantage of the new Exchange Economy, but it will require new ways of thinking and doing business, centered on innovation and real-time communications,” said Walsh.

Walsh also commented on the significance of keynoting at a Canadian event as the company continues to build on its successes in the region.

“Our Canadian assets are key contributors to our world-class R&D, innovation and product development. We’re expanding our local presence to further leverage this active ecosystem, so I’m particularly pleased to discuss these issues here in Toronto.”

In addition to Walsh’s keynote, Kandy.io and the KandyMobile demo-equipped tour bus will be at the conference June 6 and 7.
