It’s been a sweet year so far for the folks at GENBAND, a company that specializes in real-time communications software solutions. The company has been focused on education, producing several events designed to inform customers, partners and prospects about their initiatives and solutions, including the Kandy Communications Platform.
Bita Milanian, senior vice president of global marketing at GENBAND, has spearheaded several events and initiatives with her team and discussed the company’s success in a recent blog post. One of the largest and most important events for GENBAND was the Mobile World Congress, held in Barcelona earlier this year. In addition to attending customer and partner meetings, the company participated in media interviews and analyst briefings. The highlight of the event was the fring Alliance party, in celebration of the network created to give CSPs a neutral, white label, federal real-time rich communications services platform.
GENBAND also participated in the Enterprise Connect conference, announcing collaborative projects with XO Communications, IBM and Polycom in the enterprise and government markets. The company also held a Twitter Chat at the event to discuss the trends shaping real-time communications in the enterprise.
The company’s annual customer and partner summit, Perspectives16, was a high point for GENBAND and a chance for global clients and associates to come together and share information. The fourth annual event featured presentations from IBM, Verizon and Hewlett Packard Enterprise along with a keynote address by author, columnist and CEO Dr. Margaret Heffernan.
The event also included a presentation from David Walsh, CEO of GENBAND, on “The Exchange of Everything” (EoE) discussing the intersection of the IoT and RTC. The EoE theory posits that those leveraging IoT by embedding RTC capabilities into applications and business processes will be the most successful in the increasingly competitive digital landscape.
Finally, GENBAND recently held the grand opening of its Kandy Cloud Center of Excellence in Ottawa, Canada. The center hired a number of new employees and is focused on supporting GENBAND’s cloud efforts in response to the company’s growth in the communications platform as a service market.
At the upcoming All About the API event in Las Vegas, Natasha Tamaskar, VP and Head of Cloud & Mobile Strategy & Ecosystem at GENBAND will be presenting during a track titled “Enabling the API Economy” at 9 a.m. on July 20. The session will discuss real-life examples in multiple verticals, such as screensharing for remote diagnostics, live visual attendant, real-time remote educational collaboration and talk about the innovative ways businesses of all sizes are leveraging these new opportunities and what the future holds.
