Supercuts is a Cut Above Other Hair Salons, Uses Technology to Do So

May 1, 2018 by: bosek

It is very common for hair salon customers to have to wait some time for their turn at the chair for a wash, cut, blow dry service or hair treatment.

Supercuts, the renowned men and women’s hair salon brand, has addressed the issue and tried to resolve it through the use of technology. Up until today, Supercuts’ customers had the option to skim through one of the haircut magazines to see the latest hair style trends, while in the waiting room. They were asked to sit patiently until a hairdresser was ready for them. Well, that is soon to change at some of the chain’s hair salons throughout the U.S., as Supercuts will be using technology to meet ever-changing customer demands. A fast and reliable Internet and Wi-Fi connection will be available at most sites to meet real-time communication needs for both the business and its clients.

According to a Yahoo! Finance post yesterday, Supercuts is currently using Comcast Business Internet, Wi-Fi, Voice, and HDTV services across 33 franchise locations in southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. As a Comcast Business Internet customer, Supercuts salons will now offer the convenience of Wi-Fi to their customers, as well as their employees. The franchise will be using Business Wi-Fi, whereas an XFINITY Wi-Fi separate wireless signal will be complimentary for guests “so stylists and patrons do not share the same broadband connection,” the post explains.

The franchise will also be using Business Voice lines in all salons (with advanced calling features, voicemail and more), to provide reliable services for guests that call in to ask about hours or stylist availability. Additional, plans are to add Business TV from Comcast in some locations, to entertain customers in waiting areas, the post mentions. These added in-salon amenities are part of Supercuts’ strategy that focuses on offering better services to what matters most to the business: its customers.

In addition to in-store services, there is a Supercuts Mobile App, available for both iPhone and Android, which provides info regarding the nearest Supercuts salon, and gives directions too. Customers can check wait times of the closest salon or others in the area, find out hours of operation, and access a check-in feature (that way one does not have to sit waiting in the store).

By offering high-quality salon services and opting to use technology (Comcast Business – to provide advanced technology solutions) to deliver the best guest experience possible, Supercuts hopes to give guests a more pleasurable stay, and build a loyal customer base.
